The Cyber Cell of Ambala Police has started a 'Lost Mobile Service' whereby assistance is provided to citizens for recovering mobile phones lost in Ambala. Since its inception the service has achieved success in tracing out several lost mobile phones. This initiative to bring the community closer to the police has been well received by the citizens.
How can you avail this service?
As soon as you discover that you have lost your mobile phone contact your cell phone service provider for deactivation of your SIM card. Then approach the Cyber Cell located in the District Police Office, Police Lines, Ambala along with the following documents:
A signed written application, in duplicate, addressed to the Incharge, Cyber Cell mentioning clearly therein:
The name and address of the owner of the lost mobile phone.
The date, time and location at which the phone was lost.
The SIM card number and IMEI number of the mobile phone.
Two copies of the proof of identity of the applicant and the proof of his ownership of the lost mobile.
